In 2020, most people had more time than they expected to sit on their couches and watch countless hours of television. And, frankly, it’s looking more and more like 2021 is not going to be much different. The good news is that there’s plenty of TV to look forward to. The one show that’s on everyone’s radar is the upcoming drama serial Laapata. The drama stars Ali Rehman, Sarah Khan and Ayeza Khan in the lead. Two teasers of the drama were recently released. One teaser showed a strong chemistry between Sarah Khan and Ali Rehman. While the other teaser showed Ayeza Khan in a happy go lucky avatar similar to her character Meenu from Chupke Chupke. But during her Instagram live session, Ayeza revealed about her character Geeti from Laapata that “it is an amazing character and I think you have not seen me in that kind of character ever before”. So, maybe Geeti won’t be similar to Meenu. Laapata also stars Gohar Rasheed but he hasn’t yet made an appearance in the teasers. It is a Momina Duraid Production, and is written and directed by Khizer Idrees.
