Fashion hits from the Cannes 2021

The 74th annual Cannes Film Festival has officially closed out and featured the kind of glamorous celebrity ensembles we had long missed from red carpets over the last year.

Following the festival's cancellation in 2020 due to the pandemic, stars returned to the Cannes carpet on July 6 for the opening ceremony and the debut film screening of Leos Carax's Annette, making up for lost time in a multitude of stunning looks that ranged from embellished floor-length gowns to pants suits and blazers.

Look on to see the top-tier fashion from the event, which took place from July 6 through July 17.

Melanie Laurent wore a black Celine suit for Cannes. She did menswear better than most men by putting her own spin on the classic menswear game.

Gemma Chan looked breathtaking in a shimmering, floral-accented custom Oscar de la Renta gown. With the look, she wore a Swarovski statement cocktail ring.

Amy Jackson wore the couture gown that had micro ruffle detailing all over, a flowing trail, a big flouncy skirt and off-shoulder style corset as she walked the red carpet in Cannes.

Model Elisa Sednaoui looked sleek as she went full-on mermaid in a turquoise paillette-sequined dress by Alberta Ferretti.

Anna Cleveland glowed in gold on the red carpet in a Alberta Ferretti design which was covered in gold studs. Its skirt, on the other hand, was decorated with shining gold fringe.

The former Victoria's Secret model, Candace Swanepoel, stepped out in an elegant white backless gown by Etro ahead of the Tout S'est Bien Passe (Everything Went Fine) screening.

The Polish model wore a sultry one-shoulder slitted dress by Yves Saint Laurent with her statement Flèche du Temps Question Mark mother-of-pearl necklace paved with diamonds.
