Pakistani and Turkish producers join hands for a series on Salahuddin Ayubi

It’s a collab!

Often to add something new and different to their films in order to get more visibility and attention, filmmakers and producers go for international collaborations. Be it including a cameo of a well-known international celebrity or some other prominent personality, the makers pull out all the stops to have a mass appeal for their films. Jumping on the collab bandwagon are Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui along with partners Dr Junaid Ali Shah (Shah Films) and Dr Kashif Ansari (Ansari Films) and Turkish producer Emre Konuk. Since the past few years and even since Turkish series Dirilis: Ertugrul went on-air in Pakistan, there has been seen a strong bond between the two countries. Making the bond even stronger is a mega project based on the life of Salahuddin Ayubi. The agreement for its production between the producers of the two countries was signed in Belgrade. The series is titled Selahaddin Eyyubi. Disclosing a few details about the project, Humayun Saeed revealed that 25 per cent of the cast for this project will comprise Pakistani actors. Also, the series will be in Turkish language and will later be dubbed in Urdu.
