60 SECONDS WITH ANUM FAYYAZ

Fayyaz is rightly celebrated for her screen career. Who knew that the girl whose career took off with her participation in a dance show would eventually end up portraying challenging roles in TV dramas like Intezaar, Pachtawa and Zard Mausam, to name a few. But she’s also a force to be reckoned with behind the camera. Someone who believes that stardom isn't just about worldwide adulation and designer clothes – but it also gives celebrities a chance to use their global platform for good. A major devotee of women empowerment, the starlet is a believer of portraying the many issues facing women through her roles. Domestic violence, harassment, lack of representation on-screen as well as off-screen, these are just a few of the hot topics worth discussing, and she has always been one to have joined in on the conversation and champion womanhood. Anum joins MAG for a quick and fun rapid fire. Here are 60 seconds from her life. Excerpts:

The biggest perk of being you?

I’m okay at literally anything I do, passionate about what I do and honest with my work and loved ones.

Best part of the day for you is?

When I meet my husband and work out at the gym with him.

If stuck on an island, you would…

Obviously call for help.

Life for you is…

A blessing!

Best memory to-date is…

My nikkah in Masjid-Al-Haram.

Best vacation memory of yours?

In London, with my husband.

Your beauty philosophy is...

Stay true and positive.

Who’s your biggest support system?

Family support, at the end of the day, was and is very important to me. I discuss and share even trivial matters at home and receive guidance accordingly.

What’s your dream role?

The role of an action girl and Umrao Jaan Ada are two of my dream characters. Also, if someone comes with a script that involves a message in its story, I would do it.
