Unfortunately, our regional film industry has been out of focus for a number of reasons. But things are about to change for this industry as actor, director and filmmaker Yasir Nawaz has recently announced that he is gearing up to make his first commercial film in Sindhi language, promoting cultural diversity. The director made the announcement on the occasion of Sindh Cultural Day in a video, saying, “Today is Sindh Culture Day and I wish everyone on the occasion. And I want to give a good news and make an announcement that I have decided to direct a Sindhi film; I felt that I’m a Sindhi and it is required of me to direct a Sindhi film. Good news is that Sindh’s renowned dramatist Apa Noorul Huda Shah will be writing this film. This will be a big gift from Noor Apa and me to Sindh. We need your prayers.”
