Madiha Imam - Stepping Into The Light

For many aspiring actors, showbiz is like a glistening mirage, promising a slice of stardom and untold glamour so achingly out of reach. But for VJ-turned-actor Madiha Imam, the temptations of tinseltown were never too far away.
Since gaining her first role in drama serial Ishq Mein Teray back in 2013, the young starlet’s career has soared, from starring as the lead protagonist in dramas like Heer and Dhaani to appearing as the leading lady for stars like Faysal Qureshi, Danish Taimoor, and Bilal Abbas Khan. With an insatiable appetite for a challenge, Madiha has proved her skills as a shape-shifting sensation, moulding into the part of a damsel in distress in Muqaddar, or morphing into a rebellious student in Dil-e-Momin.
Here, the starlet joins forces with designer Huma Adnan, and sheds lights on trends that have stood the test of time and are still taking the fashion world by storm.

One of them being palazzo pants or culottes, whatever you may call them. These are making waves in ethnic fashion sphere. They are the most coveted piece of attire for their effortless style and relaxed vibes. If you have ever stepped into a pair of roomy culottes, you'll swear by the ease they offer. Every once in a while, take a breather from constricting tailoring and heavy fabric to enjoy the comfort of this closet must have. When they are not attending red carpet events, celebrities too swear by palazzo pants and some more than others. Festive occasions to an evening outing, there's really no situation you can't wear a pair of palazzo pants to.

Talking about festive wear, we can’t forget festive season’s favourite fabric trend i.e. Jamawar. A material that gives a blend of traditions, Jamawar is a wardrobe essential for festive occasions, especially wedding wear. Even with minimal or zero embroidery and embellishments, the fabric itself has the ability to make an outfit stand out. Apart from clothing, the actress reiterates the accessory trends that are big this season.

From bright colours and cheerful patterns, the season’s biggest fashion trends seem to symbolise our excitement – and the same rings true for jewellery. While delicate gold rings and necklaces have reigned supreme for years now, style stars have officially traded in their minimalistic jewellery for full-on maximalism. Think chunky chains, playful charms, and big rings as well as fun sunglasses.
