Hawaiian Pizza Pasta Bake

· 350 g spiral pasta

· 1 tablespoon olive oil

· 1 red onion

· 2-3 garlic cloves

· 250 g chicken cubes

· 400 g pasta bake cheese sauce

· 230 g pizza sauce

· ½ chopped pineapple

· 100 g grated 4-cheese blend

· ½ cup oregano leaves

· 2 green shallots, thinly sliced

· Salad leaves, to serve


Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cook the pasta in a saucepan of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, for two minutes. Add the chicken cubes and cook, stirring often, until crisp and light golden. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel to drain. Place the pasta in a bowl. Add the cheese sauce and stir until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Spoon over pizza sauce and scatter over the chicken mixture and chopped pineapple. Sprinkle evenly with the cheese, oregano and shallot. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and warmed through. Serve with salad leaves, if you like.
