Nadia Khan faces backlash for making a sarcastic video of Sharmila Faruqi’s mother

Public figures of all kinds earn a lot of attention, and while it's often and usually praise, sometimes it can skew negative. Politicians and celebrities alike put themselves "out there" in a big way, and passing laws, expressing opinions, and making art or entertainment can also put a proverbial target on their backs — one upon which other famous people may readily take aim. One recent incendiary incident where a famous person from the show business sector butted heads with a powerful politician was when actor and host Nadia Khan made a video of PPP leader Sharmila Faruqi’s mother Anisa Faruqi in which the host is apparently “complimenting” the makeup and fashion style of her mother. But netizens as well as Sharmila herself thought otherwise. It felt as though Khan was mocking the mother in a sarcastic manner. The video made rounds all over social media and soon after, the politician commented on the video and wrote, "She’s a shameless woman, I’m reporting her to cybercrime officially." Sharmila also uploaded a picture of her at the FIA office, filing a complaint against the host.
