Ania (Sonia Mietielica) and her family are headed to their annual vacation. On their way there, they are passed by a beat up orange van full of rowdy young people, and one young man catches Ania’s eye. She smiles bashfully and looks away, but it seems to make an impression on her. Ania is still processing the loss of her mother five years ago, and her father Andre (Marcin Perchuæ) lives in fear of her falling back into the debilitating depression that once plagued her. At the hotel, the family – including Ania’s stepmother and baby brother – meet up with their close friends that Ania can hardly stand to be around. In an attempt to get out and about, Ania winds up in a kitesurfing lesson with the boy from the van. Ania finds herself constantly thinking about the boy, who she learns is named Michal (Jakub Sasak). She spends an evening on the beach partying with his friend group and begins to fall for him. The two connect and fall hard and fast in love, spending their days and nights together as Ania finally learns to love life again. With family drama happening, her future ahead, and the summer’s end looming, however, Ania begins to wonder what she really wants her life to look like – and whether Michal fits into her plans.
