Netflix’s 2022 reality drama series, Last One Standing, is a mix of stand-up comedy and intense mystery thriller drama, all wrapped into one. There are a total of eight episodes in this Japanese reality-drama hybrid series with a runtime of 30-50 minutes. Last One Standing brings forward a rather new and unique concept that has not been explored before. The series is a cocktail of mystery, thriller and jokes! The first episode begins with the hosts laying down the concept to us, where we see that each week real-life stories will be shared in form of the basic dramas by our comedians on board, who will have to land the right jokes during the right time. In case they miss, there will be an elimination round at the end of every week. Two renowned names take the commentators’ seats – Nobu and Karen Takizama. As the episode plays along with seeing a drama unfold, with both the commentators and the viewers. Within the course of eight episodes, we witness seemingly everything from an intense cop drama to an offbeat bomb diffusion segment to the most weirdly hilarious secrets of the contestants making it to the major premise. By the end, there is only one winner standing, who manages to entertain everyone until the very end.
