Last night my domestic staff member’s nine months old nephew had a heart attack and died after being terrified upon hearing celebratory gunfire. Celebratory Gunfire. Barbaric celebrations keep taking precious lives yet people continue this abhorrent practice.

Every year many lives are lost in Pakistan due to the horrifying culture of aerial firing at various celebrations despite a restriction imposed on it. And this time, it was an infant related to actress Ushna Shah’s domestic help. The actress shed light on the fact that the said barbaric act of celebration has taken so many precious lives, yet it is a continuing practice within the country.

It is a proud moment for the country as Pakistan’s Ahsan Ramzan, a 16-year-old cueist, has become the second youngest person in the world and the youngest Pakistani ever to win the IBSF World Snooker Championship title in a match that lasted for more than five hours. Humayun Saeed congratulated the young player and wished for him many more successes in the future.
