Chocolate Chia Pudding

· ¾ cup milk, unsweetened

· 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey

· 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

· 3-4 tablespoons chia seeds

· 1 tablespoon cocoa powder


To a mason jar or any glass container with a tight lid, add the milk, maple syrup and vanilla. Then add the chia seeds and the cocoa powder. It’s important to add the ingredients in the order as they are listed in the recipe – all liquids first. Whisk well or stir vigorously with a fork until the cocoa powder is well combined with the rest of ingredients. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and stir again. Refrigerate for at least six hours or preferably overnight. When ready to eat, stir well again. Some left lumps are okay, just stir well. The thickness and sweetness can be adjusted according to your taste. Serve the pudding cool.
