Nadia Hussain comes under scrutiny for her remarks on newer models; defends statement

Simmering hot water!

Celebrity rivalries are as much a part of showbiz as red carpets and awards. Whether it's backstabbing, man-stealing, or social-media hating, some of the squabbles between these stars have been explosive and very public. The most recent celebrity beef that had us all talking was when model Nadia Hussain remarked the newer models as “lacking both class and personality”. During her appearance on talkshow Timeout with Ahsan Khan alongside designer Deepak Perwani, Hussain claimed that the newer lot of models does not fit the criteria of being beautiful, tall and educated as did the models back in the days. She said, "All kinds of girls entered the modelling industry and the council was not aware and didn't care if the girls are educated or not, if they have the height or not — there was no criteria. The only criteria was to get permission for modelling". Soon after, the model started receiving backlash for her comments, which she later defended saying, "There is no denying that education sets you apart." "The educated ones are certainly always a class above anybody!” she continued.
