Dhaba Style Chicken Curry

· 700 g chicken

· 1 cup oil

· 1 cup onion, chopped

· 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

· 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste

· Salt to taste

· 1 teaspoon turmeric

· 1½ tablespoon red chilli powder

· 1 teaspoon coriander powder

· 4-5 green chillies

· 1 cup tomato puree

· Fresh coriander leaves

· Green chillies, for garnish

· Ginger, for garnish


In a pan heat the oil, then add onion, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste and sauté it. Add the chicken, salt, turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, green chillies and mix well. Add the tomato puree, mix it well, cover and cook on a medium low flame for about 10 minutes. Add the fresh coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger and mix it well. After that add two cups of water, cover and cook on a medium flame for about five minutes. Serve the chicken curry with naan and raita.
