Date Sweetened Slow Cooker Oats

· 2½ cups water

· 2 cups almond milk

· 1 cup steel-cut oats

· 4 pitted Medjool dates

· ½ teaspoon rose water

· ¼ teaspoon salt

· ¼ teaspoon freshly ground cardamom powder

· A pinch of saffron

· 1-2 tablespoons honey


Line your crock pot or slow cooker with a slow cooker liner. Add all the ingredients to your slow cooker. Stir, cover, and cook on low flame for at least six hours or on high flame for about four hours. Slow cooker times can vary depending on the size of your slow cooker. Mix well to shred the dates as per your preference. Divide the mixture in bowls and serve the oats with a hot splash of milk. Enjoy!
