Potato Cheese Balls

Ingredients

· 4 boiled potatoes

· 1 cup grated cheese

· 3-4 chopped green chillies

· ½ teaspoon chopped ginger

· 4 cloves chopped garlic

· ½ teaspoon red chilli powder

· ½ teaspoon turmeric powder

· 4 tablespoons chopped coriander

· 2 tablespoons bread crumbs

· Oil for deep frying

· Salt to taste

Method

Grate the cheese and keep it aside. Mash the boiled potatoes in a bowl. Add green chillies, ginger, garlic, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, fresh coriander leaves, bread crumbs and salt. Mix the ingredients well and keep aside. Now heat the oil in a frying pan. Make small balls from the potato mixture. Take some oil in your palms, get one ball and smoothly round it, make a small hole in center and stuff the grated cheese in it. Close the ball carefully from all the sides. When the oil is heated properly, drop the balls in hot oil and keep the flame from high to medium. Cook the balls on medium flame. Keep frying and flipping for four-five minutes, till the balls turn golden brown in colour. Drain on an oil absorbent paper napkin. Serve immediately with any dip or chutney of your choice.
