We all remember watching Navin in the drama that became all the rage – Humsafar – and couldn’t help but hate her character. How could one not? It was such a ferocious and confident performance; years later, the character is still synonymous to the artist. But she doesn’t live in the shadow of that character, or in the safety of a comfort zone. Unapologetically herself and true to her talent, Navin reflects real toughness in her choices, a quality we love about women in the industry. That I am a warrior and I never give up.

Go back to school. The nerd in me misses it terribly!

What can turn the day around for you?

Chilling with my dog. She gives the best hugs.

What do you prefer for your craft: TV or film?

I would love to show my talent on the big screen provided it's a good part and a good script. Till then, I'm happy doing TV as it's what put me on the map.

Your favourite health care regimen?

Gyming.

Tell us an embarrassing story.

I have a tendency to walk into things. I once walked into a glass door in front of a room full of people at someone’s wedding while the Nikkah was going on.

Write.
