Pakistanis are already excited for Marvel Cinematic Universe’ upcoming series Ms Marvel as it introduces the first Pakistani-American teen superhero Kamala Khan. Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid is one of the directors behind the project and the cast includes notable names from our country. However, it doesn’t end here. Renowned Pakistani illustrator, Shehzil Malik, has contributed to the film’s official poster. The official Ms Marvel poster was unveiled recently on its official social media portals. Shehzil also took to social media and shared how things aligned for her to work on this project. “The Ms Marvel official poster is here! Marvel asked to use some of my artworks in the show to represent Kamala Khan’s heritage as a Muslim/Pakistani-American superhero, and it’s so exciting to see it come together!” she wrote on her post. She thanked Sharmeen Obaid and Marvel for the opportunity. “Thank you to Sharmeen Obaid for thinking of me, and the Marvel team for including my art in the show. The poster is designed by Marvel; original artworks that they’ve collaged in the background are by me,” she explained. Shehzil also promises that the viewers will get to see more of her artwork in the series.
