When the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared Covid-19 as a pandemic, and governments worldwide began to take serious actions towards prevention, the creative arts industry responded. While some musicians turned their lyrics to Covid-19 prevention themes, others also created new songs. Although the world is adapting to normalcy again, yet another variant has come to light, prompting artistes to take initiatives in spreading vaccination messages yet again. That said, the US Embassy Islamabad partnered with Sarmad Khoosat to release a Covid-19 themed song to promote vaccinations and booster shots. Sung by Atif Aslam and Pasoori famed Shae Gill, the song is titled Manzil. It is produced by Khoosat Films and the lyrics are written by Mohammed Hanif while Shamsher Rana, Varqa Faraid, Nimra Gilani, and Ali Hamdani are producers and composers.
