Kamli – a film that I hold very close to my heart, Hina a character that I've lived is unrealistically beautiful, to be honest watching Hina on screen gave me goosebumps throughout, the reason it made me so emotional was that it reminded me of all the hard-work.

Saba Qamar’s latest big screen flick Kamli is garnering amazing reviews since its release. Helmed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat, the film is produced under the banner of Khoosat Films. The trailer for the film starring talent powerhouses Saba, Sania Seead, Nimra Bucha and debutant Hamza Khawaja was immensely captivating. Saba Qamar couldn’t control herself being all emotional at the premier of her film, seeing all her tough grind translated to the screen so beautifully.

Subcontinent’s first feature film #Joyland, a Pakistani film gets a standing ovation, wins the best film (Jury) at #Cannes2022 bringing #Pakistan and cinema the much awaited prestige. A very proud moment for all of us. Congratulations team #Joyland but I wonder where are all our noble politicians who talk about the progress, and the well-being of art and culture in our country? Oh, let me guess they are busy ignoring it.

Gohar Rasheed is not happy with the government not supporting the entertainment industry by any means. While our filmmakers and actors are continuing to garner praises and accolades from around the world for their incredible work, the actor thinks the government is purposely ignoring all their efforts and groundbreaking work.

#JohnnyDepp won, I’m so happy for victims of domestic violence everywhere! But what I really disliked was the vile, misogynistic abuse (online) directed at Amber Heard, I read some truly despicable things.

As the world witnessed a historic judgement in the high profile defamation case of Johnny Depp against his ex-wife Amber Heard, the jury ruled that Depp was the actual victim of domestic abuse and Heard intentionally defamed the Pirates of the Caribbean actor. Actress Armeena Khan displayed her happiness for all the victims of domestic violence but isn’t pleased by the misogynistic hate and abuse towards Heard.
