Sarah Khan and Merub Ali are all set to play sisters in their upcoming drama Wabaal. It is seemingly the story of a girl who is “tired of conditions of poverty” and lives an imaginary life of riches. The first teaser for the drama was released recently with the caption, “i Wabaal – the literal translation of which is curse, despair and destruction.” The story revolves around Khan whose seen hanging out with a girl gang at parties and what looks like an educational institute, spinning grandiose tales about her significant other. She tells the girls she’s being showered with riches and expensive gifts. When they find out she’s been lying, they confront her and Khan lashes out. She fights with her family as well who are concerned about where she’s getting money from. In the midst of it all, she’s seen on a bike with a guy (Talha Chahour) who might be the one giving her the cash. The on screen sister duo also shared a photo together, revealing their characters’ names. Written by Qaisera Hayat, the drama is directed by Amin Iqbal.
