From a Television sweetheart to be an International star, the super talented Sajal Aly has come a long way – both in career and in fashion choices. Her fashion sense has evolved with time – transforming her girl-next-door image into a drop-dead gorgeous diva.

Sinfe-Aahan actress went to the Toronto International Film Festival for the special screening of her much-anticipated British rom-com ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’. The actress turned heads as she walked on the red carpet in a boho-inspired outfit having a perfect mix of Eastern and Western cultures.

The Alif actress looked breathtaking in black frilled gharara pants beautifully paired with a crop top and blazer. Along the outfit, she opted for minimalist make-up with black kohl eyes, and a bold red lip colour adding the required oomph factor to her persona. Not to forget those maroon bangles that further elevated her fusion look with a desi dash on them.

Alif actress got overwhelmed with the love that came her way. She took to Instagram to thank those who helped her in achieving another milestone in her career.

“My debut outing at TIFF was an absolute dream and fills my heart with immense gratitude,” she wrote in a caption.

She thanked Jemima Goldsmith for giving her an amazing opportunity to represent Pakistan in the world.

“This would not have been possible without @khanjemima. I am beyond overwhelmed by the love, and appreciation. And above all, I am extremely humbled to have had an opportunity to represent Pakistan on the world stage,” the actress stated.

Sajal also thanked the wonderful city of Toronto for giving “an absolute honor” and wished to see the city again.

In the end, the actress thanked her family and friends for always being there” for her.

‘What's Love Got to Do with It?’

Directed by Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, written and co-produced by Jemima Goldsmith, ‘What's Love Got to Do with It?’, is a cross-cultural rom-com about love and marriage, set between London and South Asia.

The ensemble cast included Lily James, Academy Award winner Emma Thompson, Shazad Latif, Rob Brydon, Shabana Azmi, Sajal Aly and Asim Chaudhry.

The film focuses on filmmaker Zoe, (Lily James), and her journey to love, which mainly include swiping on dating apps along with bad dates and her close friend Kazim, (Shazad Latif) who decides to opt for an arranged marriage with Maymouna( Sajal Aly).

The film is slated for release in the UK on January 27, 2023. – WJ
