Aima Baig and Shahbaz Shigri have called it quits. After rounds of speculations on social media, the songstress announced the news on Instagram, clearing the air weeks after fans noticed that she and her fiancé had deleted all their pictures together. The pop star shared a note on Instagram captioned “c’est la vie” which translates to such is life, to announce the breakup. “Yes, I will always respect this person for giving me a good time,” she wrote. “And to answer all your questions, yes we have parted ways,” she said, adding that they did it on good terms. “But we both are doing good and fine so don’t you worry. I wanted to do it in the most respectful way and so I did. People can choose their ways of expressing their feelings, that defines who they are from the inside. That’s me, telling the truth to anyone wondering are they or are they not together? And the answer is no, me and Shahbaz are not together anymore.” It seems like Baig is prioritising her career at the moment as she concluded with, “Music is life, let’s see where it takes us.” The couple officially got engaged last year in July and the ceremony was attended by Hania Aamir, Ali Rehman Khan and Uzair Jaswal.
