International Awards have finally made its way to Pakistan with back-to-back recognition from global world. The latest in the queue is Sanam Saeed starrer Qatil Hasseenon Ka Naam. A Zee5 web series featuring some of Pakistan’s best female actors just bagged the award for Best Single Drama/ Anthology at the Asian Academy Creative Awards. Elated on the news, Sanam shared the news on social media, “It’s so exciting for us as South Asian female actors to perform in dynamic, risk taking, stereo role breaking exciting new content,” the actress wrote in the caption. Sarwat Gillani also wrote a gratitude note on Instagram, “Thank you Asian Academy Creative Awards for this huge honour, a big high five and lots of love to my wonderful team of Qatil Hassenas,” her feed read. Aired on Zee 5 last year, the crime-fiction series earned rave reviews from across the border. The web series is directed by British-Indian director Meenu Gaur and written by Farjad Nabi and Meenu Gaur. It features some of the talented actresses of the country including Samiya Mumtaz, Rubya Chaudhry, Sanam Saeed, Sarwat Gilani, Eman Suleman and Faiza Gillani in pivotal roles. The web series features six stories of ordinary women who find extraordinary ways to overcome their problems. It has also previously won Best Thriller Show on Web at the Economic Times Spott Awards.
