We love her as the supportive stepsister of Hania in Meray Humsafar – the way she protects her naïve sister and takes a stand for her right we all wish to have a sister like her. She is none other than the ravishing Hira Umer. A curly girl with twinkling eyes has been slowly taking a lead in our television industry. Her selection of work has made her stand out among the younger lot. She has played supporting but crucial roles in Geo Entertainment's Aye Musht-E-Khaak and Hum TV's Parizaad and Dobara. She has also worked in Pakistan's first horror-comedy feature film Udham Pathak alongside Faizan Shaikh. Here, MAG gets up close and personal with her for a quick and fun rapid fire. Excerpts:
I would say that I’m personable, persistent, unique, humble, and friendly.
Smallest of things can make me smile, like waking up on a Saturday morning and realizing it is the weekend or getting a thank you from someone. Although I'm a brave person but thought of losing a loved one scares me the most.
In my spare time I work out because physical exercise is important for both physical and mental health.
If we both fall in love, yes! Status doesn't mean anything when love strikes you.
What would you change your name to?
I love my name, and it makes me who I am. I wouldn't change it.
I realize I am the messiest person I know. I'm messy because I'm more impulsive. I subconsciously leave things unorganized, because, in a way, it sparks my creativity.
I watched The Social Dilemma on Netflix yesterday. It is a great documentary about the issues with social media and surveillance capitalism.
Everyone remembers me a bit differently depending on how much of life we have shared together. Overall I want to be remembered as a kind, compassionate and helpful person.
