Although you may know Mona J as the "make-up maestro," but she is a gem once you get to know her. She is humble, honest, grounded, friendly, and above all a doting mother and a responsible homemaker. Mona has a pulse on the most recent trends in global fashion thanks to her professional degrees from Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy, New York Mudd House, and Make Up For Ever. She has been a part of numerous prestigious fashion weeks and has worked with A-Listers including Mahira Khan, Meera, Atiqa Odho, Nadia Hussain and Iraj. In a candid interview with MAG, Mona J shares the lesser-known aspect of her personality.
I am a hardworking person who is driven toward her work and family. Enthusiast, creative, friendly, persistent.
I feel proud of my children’s achievements and it instantly brings a smile to my face. To be honest, a lot has happened in life and nothing scares me anymore.
I like to socialise with my friends, play board games with my son, and do a little bit of reading when getting the time. Just like many others I also like to surf the internet to kill time.
I wouldn’t date them but I would love to meet them and give my gratitude to them.
I won’t change it because I love when my mother calls me ‘Mona’ and I like to hear it again and again.
I have just seen Deepika Padukone’s new song – it’s a hot topic in town and I have found it interesting too.
My son says that I am a workaholic, and I think that’s my most annoying habit.
It is a roller coaster and nothing constant in it. A person should remember that when it goes up, be prepared that it comes down. When it goes down don’t be sad because it will never remain the same. So take life as it comes and enjoy the ride.
It is a widow of awareness to me – now I see the world with a different perspective because of it.
