Sisters and best friends Ailbhe (pronounced Alva) and Izzy Keane grew up in Galway, Ireland. Ailbhe, who studied at The National College of Art and Design (NCAD), designed a collection of removable wheelchair covers for Izzy, who was born with Spina Bifida and paralysed from her waist down. After a video gained 13 million views in one week, their colourful brand Izzy wheels became a viral sensation.
