Cooper, the user, sought for a diagnosis after entering the real transcribed blood test results from several days. Despite not claiming to be a veterinarian, the AI chatbot suggested that the dog's blood results and symptoms might point to immune-mediated hemolytic anaemia. Numerous stories about ChatGPT's use are emerging as a result of its rising popularity. According to a Twitter user, the AI chatbot ChatGPT saved his dog's life by correctly identifying a blood issue that physicians were unable to recognise. The user, who uses the Twitter handle @peakcooper and goes by the name Cooper, said that his dog, Sassy, had been identified as having a tick-borne illness, but that the condition had gotten worse despite receiving the recommended medication. "#GPT4 saved the life of my dog. My dog was diagnosed with a tick-borne illness, and the veterinarian started the appropriate therapy. Despite having severe anaemia, her condition appeared to be improving somewhat. But after a few days, everything started to go south," Cooper stated in a statement on Twitter. "it occurred to me that medical diagnostics seemed like the sort of thing GPT4 could potentially be really good at, so I described the situation in great detail". Cooper entered the actual transcribed blood test results from multiple days and asked for a diagnosis. While the AI chatbot did not claim to be a veterinarian, it suggested that the dog's bloodwork and symptoms could indicate immune-mediated hemolytic anaemia (IMHA). He then took that prognosis to another veterinarian, who confirmed it and began treating the dog appropriately. Cooper said Sassy has since made almost a full recovery now.
