GIANT 8.97KG ONION SET TO BREAK WORLD RECORD AT HARROGATE FLOWER SHOW

A massive onion, weighing 8.97kg, has been put on display at the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show in England. The onion, grown by Gareth Griffin, was displayed at the flower show, which is held twice a year. The giant onion that may be the world's largest was displayed at the National English Honour Society Giant Vegetable Competition. Other impressive vegetables included enormous cabbages, massive marrows, and robust beetroots. Onions are judged on the first day of the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show. Paul Proud's entries, including cabbage, parsnip, carrot, beetroot, and cucumber, clinched victory in their respective categories. The Harrogate Flower Show, is held twice a year in April and September.
