In an interview segment with a local network, Hina Bayat addressed the sensitive issue of child abuse whilst in conversation with Madeha Naqvi. The actress called for increased awareness among parents regarding the safety of their children, particularly in situations involving domestic help.
"I have seen drivers in cars with young kids on their laps," said Bayat. "It's wrong legally - you're driving a car, you can't have anyone in your lap. You also can't seat children in the front (on the passenger side.) You must put on their seat belt and seat them in the back. I know parents can't be everywhere at all times, but some things are important."
She further stated, "Your child is leaving your home. Where is he for an hour, hour-and-a-half?" Taking about the guidelines highlighted by religion, Bayat shared, "I don't talk about religion as much, but our faith is a part of our lives. There are some rules in our religion. There are some boundaries of reverence." She continued, "God has told you about this so that you may prevent it."
