Actor Sikandar Kher opened up about restarting his career after a long dry phase, during which he didn’t make much of an effort to find work. One day, he shared in an interview, he was possessed by some kind of ‘fire’, and he ended up sending messages to several people in the film industry, requesting them to consider him for roles. Sikandar said that during all this, his mother Kirron Kher and stepfather Anupam Kher didn’t put in a good word on his behalf, despite their connections in the film industry.
Sikandar further shared that his mother reassured him when he was starting out that he can, in fact, act. I only believe what I hear at home, from my mother, who’s very honest with me. She actually told me once that I can act, all I need to do is keep working hard. ‘We would’ve set up a petrol pump for you if you couldn’t act,’ she said,” revealed the actor.
