Yogurt-Marinated Salmon Fillets

· 1 cup fat-free plain yogurt
· ½ tbsp cayenne pepper
· 6 cloves garlic, minced
· 2 (2-inch) pieces fresh ginger root, minced
· 2tbsp coriander, finely chopped
· 1tbsp ground coriander seed
· 1tsp ground cumin
· 1tsp salt
· ¼ tsp ground turmeric
· 4 (6oz.) skinless, boneless salmon fillets

Combine yogurt, cayenne pepper, garlic, ginger, coriander, ground coriander, cumin, salt and turmeric in a re-sealable plastic bag. Close the bag and mix everything together until evenly combined. Add salmon and toss until well-coated with the marinade. Refrigerate for eight hours up to overnight. Preheat the broiler. Lightly grease a baking pan. Remove salmon from marinade and shake off excess; discard remaining marinade. Place on prepared pan and broil in preheated oven until salmon flakes easily with a fork, five to seven minutes per side.
