Hareem Farooq Defies Doubters with Diyar-e-Dil Triumph

In a recent interview on Hasna Mana Hai, acclaimed actor and producer Hareem Farooq reflected on her bold decision to portray an older character in the hit drama "Diyar-e-Dil." Despite warnings that it could jeopardize her career, Farooq embraced the challenge, and the role ultimately became a breakthrough moment for her. "It was my third drama, and I just followed my heart," Farooq recounted, emphasizing the strength of the character she portrayed. "Everyone told me that if I take up the role, I’ll never get another lead again. They told me it would be career suicide."
Undeterred by the skepticism, Farooq explained her criteria for selecting roles, focusing on her connection to the character, plot, and team. She maintained a philosophical outlook on success and failure, believing that destiny plays a significant role.
Farooq credited her parents as her biggest supporters, acknowledging their influence on her academic and professional journey. Raised in a family of doctors, she initially pursued a degree in law before transitioning to journalism and sociology, fulfilling her parents' requirement to complete her education before pursuing acting.
After completing her degree, Farooq ventured into acting, securing roles through auditions. Since then, she has excelled in both acting and producing projects, breaking barriers as the first female celebrity to host the Pakistan Super League in 2018.
