To keep everyone safe, police and patrolling vehicles will be on the main roads leading to the cattle market. Temporary check posts will be set up, and the roads from Gulshan-e-Maymar, Ahsanabad, Surjani, and SITE Super Highway will be under constant watch.

Economic Boost from the Market

Last year, the cattle market on the Northern Bypass generated Rs8 billion in business during Eid-ul Adha. About 700,000 animals were brought in, and 600,000 were sold, which was a record. The Pakistan Tanners Association said that 6,360,000 animals were sacrificed across Pakistan in 2023, though this was a 28% to 30% drop from previous years.
