First images of Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai’s cameo role in Nida Manzoor’s critically acclaimed British comedy We Are Lady Parts have been released, and it looks as though viewers are in for a treat. The series follow the highs and lows of a Muslim-women punk band. Latest images show Malala draped in a blue gown sitting atop a horse, completing her look with a cowgirl hat.

After a successful run during its first season, the show returns with season 2. For her cameo, Malala joins band members Anjana Vasan (Wicked Little Letters, Black Mirror), Sarah Kameela Impey (Vera, Halcyon Heights), Juliette Motamed (Halo, Magic Mike’s Last Dance), Faith Omole (An Ideal Husband, Endeavour) and Lucie Shorthouse (Rebus, Henpocalypse!). Series two sees the band return with a renewed artistic mission after the high of their first UK tour, only to find a rival band threatening to overthrow everything they have worked for.
