Kate Middleton announces first public appearance since cancer diagnosis

Amidst her courageous battle with cancer, Kate Middleton has made a striking announcement. In a heartfelt Instagram post, which featured her first official photograph since her diagnosis, the Princess of Wales confirmed her attendance at Trooping the Colour, marking her first public appearance since Christmas Day 2023. With characteristic grace, she shared, "I am looking forward to attend the King's birthday parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet."

Expected to grace the procession in a horse-drawn carriage alongside her three children – Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte – Kate will watch the parade from the Major General's office, and will later accompany the King and her husband, William, The Prince of Wales on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The news has not only captivated royal enthusiasts but also garnered a warm response from her father-in-law, the 75-year-old monarch. A Buckingham Palace spokesperson shared, "His Majesty is delighted that the Princess is able to attend the events and is much looking forward to all elements of the day."
