Q: I am 31 years old and work at a hair salon. Due to my nature of work I have to constantly stand and provide hair services to my customers and get very little time to sit or relax. I usually wear two-inch heel sandals but for the past few weeks, I have been wearing flats to work, which I’m assuming have caused constant pain and soreness on my feet. Please tell me if that is the reason for both the pain and soreness. Sabeena

A: Dear Sabeena, the fact that you are experiencing the pain could be due to the flats you wear to work, since it’s not something you usually do. Try to wear the same two-inch heel sandals for at least a week again to get an idea. If the problem persists, I recommend you go to the doctor for a proper check-up of your feet.
