Film star Veena Malik appeared in an interview for Independent Urdu to share a snapshot of her life and career so far. From raising kids away from the camera lens to establishing herself as a mimicry pro, Veena had a variety of insights to offer.

The 48-year-old actress is keen on distancing her children from the addiction of social media praise. "They keep telling me, 'Mom, you're a superstar! You're Veena Malik! Put our videos up as well. People will like them.' But the thing is, they're at a fragile age. For a few likes on social media, I don't want to ruin their peace of mind. Thankfully, they are happy, healthy, and beautiful. I want them to stay that way," she explained.

The artist also opened up about her blooming love life with beau Sheharyar Chaudhr, "He has brought a fresh perspective to my life. He has restored my faith enough for me to wear my rose-tinted glasses again. He made me love Bollywood songs, though previously I used to find them cheesy."

She further reflected on her trajectory as a mimicry artist. "I think the most difficult form of acting is comedy, and it's what I've always loved. And now I'm at the stage where I can do it without sparing a thought.”
