Mansha Pasha has had enough of women being trolled for their fashion choices and has taken to social media to hit back at trolls questioning her outfit at Yashma Gill's sister's wedding. "Why have you guys opted to be naked? You are inspired like crazy people by India and copy every ridiculous thing," reads one comment in Mansha's IG feed alongside a picture of the Laal Kabootar star flaunting a lilac dress with a midriff-baring top.
"Why is it necessary to drag India into everything?" shot back Mansha. "If you don't like the outfit, fine, but please don't come across as having some kind of complex." In addition to hitting back at commenters on her photos, Mansha also turned to her IG Stories to back her stance.
"[I] can't really understand this selective whitewashing of history and culture to shame women today," wrote the actor. Pasting screenshots of a selection of disparaging comments, Mansha highlighted one particular missive that read, "Pakistani culture [does not equate to] Indian culture."
To prove that the stars of today (as well as their outfits) have remained true to their cultural roots, Mansha pasted her commentary atop stills of legendary Pakistani films featuring actors flaunting wearing traditional but midriff-bearing outfits, sleeveless tops, or smoking in a tea house to prove the argument that so-called liberal outfits had been woven into Pakistani culture long ago.
