As per earlier reports by TMZ, Tom Holland proposed to Zendaya in an intimate gathering surrounded by close ones. "Everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening," a source told People, adding that Tom had been meaning to take the big step for some time now. The source further shared that the Spider-Man: No Way Home star revealed the news to friends around the time of New Year's Day. "He's always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special," the source fondly said.

Additionally, the two are not in a rush to tie the knot and instead want to savour this special development, especially given the fact that they are caught up in individual work commitments. The two have been co-stars in MCU projects and were close friends before they made it Insta-official in September 2021 after Tom shared a sweet post on Zendaya's birthday.
