Vin Diesel confirms 'Fast X: Part 2' will film in Los Angeles: “It’s Time to Return Home”

Vin Diesel has announced that the upcoming Fast X: Part 2, the penultimate installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, will return to its roots by filming in Los Angeles. The city, which served as the backdrop for the series’ original 2001 film, holds a special place in the saga’s history.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Diesel credited his co-star Jordana Brewster for inspiring the decision. “Last week, during the fires that displaced LA… my sister Jordana reached out to me and said… Please have Universal film the rest of Fast X: Part 2 in LA,” he wrote alongside a photo of the duo. “Los Angeles needs it now more than ever.”parDiesel emphasised the significance of bringing the franchise back to where it all started. “Los Angeles is where Fast & Furious began filming 25 years ago… and now Fast will finally return home. All love.” With its return to Los Angeles, Fast X: Part 2 aims to honor the city’s resilience and the franchise’s legacy, blending nostalgia with a powerful new chapter.
