Mohsin Abbas talks men's emotional restraint

In an interview with Madeha Naqvi, actor Mohsin Abbas Haider discussed heart-rending incidents from his past, such as the deaths of his parents and daughter, that influenced his depression. Mohsin, who announced the demise of his one-month-old daughter in 2017, shared that he was wrapped up in paperwork and formalities at the time of the little one's death.

The Na Maloom Afraad actor also revealed that his mother passed away in his arms. "When my mother took her last breath in my arms, and after my father recently passed away, I realised that people don't give you time. The responsibilities carry on. You know what they say, that even if the sons are young, they have to grow up," he observed.

Mohsin added that he's the youngest in his family. However, it was always stressed upon him to take up the role of someone much older. "For the 22 years that I've lived alone in Karachi, I don't think I've ever shared anything with my family just because I didn't want to stress them out," he said. "They still don't know what I am going through, and that might not be their fault. But being men, we are taught to keep our emotions to ourselves," he added.
