Summer Lovin’

It is the time of the year when winter dresses are packed up and it is time to adorn our summer clothes. This year Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid ul Adha are all falling during the summer time, also making it a festive season for Pakistanis. During this time of the year, everyone wants to look their best in clothes that are trendy, comfortable and stylish.

But before that, as the temperatures rise up and stay that way, a great way to dress yourself is by opting for summer dresses that are designed in a way that make you look chic and elegant but also not compromising on comfort that we all need when it is warm outside.

While the traditional shalwar kameez will always be a staple in Pakistan, this summer collection’s new arrivals are featuring a lot of new designs of beautiful dresses that are dazzling and unique.

Pakistan's history and traditions are intertwined with lawn suits, which showcase vibrant colours and patterns on sunny summer days. These designs, featuring digital prints with pops of colour, geometric and swirling patterns, and traditional floral motifs, are more modern and incorporate intricate embroidery. The lawn season, which starts in February and can last until October, is a highlight of the country's cultural calendar.

Why Are Pakistani Lawn Dresses Taking Over The World?
Traditional salwar kameez outfits, known as lawn suits, are crafted from a fabric called 'lawn' that originated in Loan, France, and is made from linen yarns. The fabric uses fine, high-thread-count yarn and has a smooth, luxurious texture. Its lightweight nature and semi-transparency make it a popular choice for dyeing and printing. After being imported to the subcontinent during partition, lawn production became predominantly based in Pakistan, where the abundant cotton supply led to a shift from linen to cotton.

The fabric's breathability made it a hit in Pakistan's hot summers and quickly became a popular fabric for women's clothing. This opened up a new world of fashion possibilities for women in Pakistan. Pakistani lawn dresses have captivated hearts and imaginations worldwide, transcending cultural boundaries and establishing themselves as a global fashion phenomenon.

Their elegant designs, vibrant colours, and exquisite craftsmanship have earned them a loyal following, setting the stage for international dominance. The global popularity of Pakistani lawn dresses can be attributed to a blend of factors, weaving together elements of tradition, modern trends, and practical comfort.
