During an appearance on Mazaq Raat, Mashal Khan mused over one-sided love. She began by sharing that she feels one-sided love is not true love. "It doesn't make any sense. True love is something that's built over time. One-way is infatuation," she said.
Mashal believes that poets are to be blamed for why people attribute love to suffering. "They promote this idea that love exists to bring you pain, that until you're in a hospital bed, your love isn't real," the actress said. "But true love elevates you. When two people are good for each other, they help each other grow in life, not hurt each other in the space they occupy," she added.
Despite her views, the Suno Chanda actress revealed that she was infatuated with someone back in school. Discussing this anonymous person, she shared, "From what I know, he didn't become a very good person in life. He's like those individuals who don't hurt people consciously but are so careless with their actions that they crush others along the way."
