Another important fact that must be mentioned here is that period of Jacob and Austin was more of a dictatorship period. But reign of Thomas and Abraham was based on democracy. This amendment was made by Thomas and every king was allowed to make such amendment as per mutual agreement of the five brothers.

There was a famous palmist who made his way through entertaining Thomas in circus events. He was a fraud who was simply leaving people blind, stealing their posessions.

This guy was quite strange looking, his hair was spiked shaped blue in color. His eyes were light green, and his skin color was extra fair. He made himself look different than normal people. He used to work all alone and presented himself as if he was quite busy.

One evening, this palmist had two customers who were a husband and a wife. The husband said to him:

“We need to ask about our marriage”

“You have visited the right place. The mysteries of your fate can be solved here”

I was hiding behind a wall nearby and I was watching the entire scene.

“Thank you” the husband got delighted. “You see…”

“…But I am not available right now” the palmist interrupted, “you can come after two days”

“We are really worried” the wife added. “We can’t come afterwards. We need your help now”

“I’m afraid if you need my help without any appointment, you’ll have to pay extra and in advance”

“Ok, sure” the husband responded.

I understood that this trickster was simply taking unfair advantage of the poor helpless couple.

The palmist said to them:

“You two are married for not more than five years”

“Right” the husband responded getting shocked. “How did you know?”

“And every morning you two are caught up in an argument”

“Yes, how do you know?”

I whispered to myself:

That happens in every house.

The palmist further spoke:

“And you are also facing financial issues”

“Exactly. Oh my God” the husband got shocked on his predictability.

I then commented:

Almost everyone in this state is facing these issues because of government’s corruption. What’s so surprising about that?

The husband sat on his knees and said to the palmist:

“Sir…You have no idea. You have no clue about what I am going through. My wife and I are almost about to break up. We are really upset and we have no option but to seek your help”

“Alright” the palmist stopped him, “just bring five gold coins. I will help you then”

“It is too much. But we will bring it, ok”

I was more than angry seeing this but I didn’t do anything at the moment.

The stage magicians had gained unexpected importance in front of general public. Their shows were conducted every week, and the young generation was taking huge interest in them.

These stage magicians were not only entertainers but in fact they were dark tricksters who were leaving people blind by stealing their possessions while the show was being conducted.

I saw this happening in front of my own eyes. I was one day seated inside the theatre and I was watching two magicians performing a strange magic. They both were standing at some distance and were waving their hands as if trying to raise the table up. The table started rising slowly in the air and people gave them a huge round of applause.

I however knew that this was mere illusion. There was no such thing as real magic. These people were merely magicians and not wizards, what they pretended to be.

That moment what happened was that everyone’s eyes were stuck towards the stage magic. The planted thieves were secretly stealing possessions of people in a way that no one could notice. I had seen this finally and I left the place to stand at its exit. I had to stand there, so I could catch these thieves with Abraham’s help.

Abraham and I were standing there as per our plan, but the thieves turned out to be so clever that they left through underground basement. Abraham and I were alone and had no force who could help us.

While the show was over, we were seated outside. We were really upset and Abraham said to me:

“What are we going to do? We can’t do anything unless we have power”

“I know. I agree that we are helpless, but your time will come. We have eighteen more months and then you will be the king”

“You know there was a time when people visited churches, now these stage shows have made our public absolutely lazy and irresponsible”

“I know. Thomas has made everyone like him. People are not worried about their future securities”

“This is really heartbreaking”

“I’m sure everyone is not onto this. Sincere people are still there”

Several months later, we could see an angry mob of more than twenty men gathered around some spot. They had weapons like ropes and metallic ropes in their hands. The moment I saw them, I knew something was going to get ugly.

I may be responsible for this as I did not make my way sooner than I should have. What I was told eventually by a group of people can be described as this.

These men had discovered that the famous blue haired palmist was nothing more than a fraud. He was simply leaving wool over everyone’s eyes, just to gather some wealth.

Unfortunately today, he was there in front of everyone. They all were questioning his methods, and asking why his claims turned out to be false. He was panicked of course as he knew that his game was over.

The system under Thomas was so weak that there was no police or any other authority that could control the matter. The matter got really worse when the palmist tried to escape and slipped.

The angry men held him and placed him in the middle of crowd. They all had surrounded him and there was no way out. He cried and begged for mercy but the angry men with all their force hit him with their weapons.

This was so brutal that the palmist not just died but he got ripped apart. One could see his stomach torn apart with ribs pointing out. There was blood all over but the mob seemed to be quite brave. They must have a political support from someone I think.

This matter should have been taken to court, but it wasn’t. Ryan the leading protestor took a huge group of people outside the castle, but Austin came out and simply declared:

“There will be no trial”

Abraham got really upset on this and that moment he took out a piece of paper from his pocket and noted down something. It was quite suspenseful as to what he must be up to.

That night I went to Thomas’ room inside the castle to scold him but on the way I saw Jacob who was secretly crying. I stopped by his’ side and asked:

“What is it?”

He was too upset that he couldn’t even talk.

I however left him and walked straight towards the room and called out:

“Thomas where are you?”

This lazy man was playing cards with his friends in his luxurious room. One of the security guards who was standing by the door said:

“You are not allowed to enter inside”

I angrily spat inside the room and left.

Few months later, a circus event was being organized by a group of rich and influential people. Thomas was quite happy about it but his brother Jacob was not recommending this.

Anyways the event was planned and everything was ready. The day of the event finally came and Thomas was a bit late. The organizers of the event did not know that the labor they had hired was not quite experienced.

Inside the hall of the circus there were several different animals who were tied with ropes. One of the hall’s tent was accidentally broken as the metallic rod was either broken or weak. The entire tent broke down and majority of the animals got injured in this. The general public that was gathered outside also screamed and ran away as quickly as they could.

This was also quite dramatic but I did not witness this on my own. Abraham narrated this to me.

The end result of this accident was that the general public was not injured but the animals like tigers and gorillas were not only injured but they died as well. It was a huge loss of magicians’ property, but some people were happy claiming that the magicians got what they deserved.

The same thing happened with this case, it wasn’t quite given any special attention in the court and all the responsible people were spared, even though their names were handed over.

Several months passed and all we could see was carelessness of the government. People were becoming lazy and pleasure lovers as was their king.

The education system especially the primary school system was destroyed to such an extent that kids were not even attending classes, nor were there parents concerned about it anymore.

Not just ordinary but even black magic was now being taught in schools. Some concerned parents were worried about it and they started home schooling on this, but this did not affect the king or anyone under him.

Abraham who was my only hope seemed busy those days. He was too much involved in his paper work. I don’t really know what he was writing but he was definitely making plans for the future.

One night before Thomas’ reign ended, I heard some screaming at the castle’s main room. I went there and saw that Austin was beating up his brother Frederick with a whip.

I rushed towards them and stopped them by snatching the whip away from Austin.

“What the hell is going on? Are you out of your mind Austin?”

“He just criticized my methods. He thinks he can be a better king than I was”

“I did not say that” Frederick argued.

“Alright quite” I yelled. “Austin Is this any way to treat your brother?”

“Who are you to tell me what is right and wrong?”

“I am your uncle and your father’s most trusted advisor”

“I don’t care. No one is better than me. So no one should dare to tell me what is right and what is wrong”

“Frederick, just go to your room” I said to Frederick.

Frederick stood up and left.

I looked at Austin quite angrily and then I also left for my own house.

The bad time was now about to end, because Abraham was about to take over the throne.
