Dakota Johnson appears to be embracing single life, enjoying a European getaway with longtime family friend Kate Hudson. The trip comes just weeks after news broke that Johnson and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin had ended their nearly eight-year relationship.

The Materialists star was spotted dining in Rome with Hudson, entrepreneur Douglas Chabbott, and her agent Maha Dakhil. During the evening, Ricky Martin briefly stopped by to greet the group, despite dining at a separate venue nearby. Days later, Johnson and Hudson were seen cruising off the coast of Ibiza, as captured in images published by People. The pair spent the day relaxing on a white float with a friend, swimming in the sea, and enjoying the Mediterranean sun.

The girls trip follows reports of Johnson’s split from Martin. Though the couple had recently been photographed on a yoga date, rumours of tension had circulated earlier in the year, only to be dismissed at the time. Neither Johnson nor Martin has addressed the breakup publicly.
