Tom Cruise is reportedly seeking to reunite with ex-wife Nicole Kidman and her husband, country singer Keith Urban, to put an end to years of tension and distance between the families, RadarOnline.com reports.

Cruise, 63, is expected to meet Kidman and their two adopted children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, in Europe this summer. According to an insider, he also hopes to finally have a candid conversation with Urban, whom Kidman married in 2006 – four years after her split from the Mission: Impossible star. “Tom used to be incredibly dismissive of Keith,” the source said, noting Cruise once viewed him as “a hillbilly crooner.” But over the years, that perspective has shifted.

Urban has reportedly earned Cruise’s respect, with the source saying the singer’s sobriety and consistent support of Kidman and the children softened Cruise’s stance. Bella and Connor’s positive view of Urban also helped, with Cruise now said to be ready to begin a “fresh chapter.”
