Filming on Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been temporarily paused after lead actor Tom Holland sustained a mild concussion during production in Glasgow.
Deadline confirmed that Holland, 29, was briefly hospitalised following the on-set accident, which occurred during a stunt sequence. A source close to the production stated that the actor is taking a short break “out of precaution” but is expected to return to filming within a few days.
According to The Sun, the incident involved a stunt gone wrong. Despite the injury, Holland reportedly attended a charity event over the weekend alongside co-star and fiancée Zendaya, suggesting his recovery is progressing well.
No other cast or crew members were injured, and production meetings are underway to adjust the filming schedule, Deadline reported. Sony Pictures has scheduled Spider-Man: Brand New Day for release on July 24, 2026. With Holland’s expected return imminent, production on the highly anticipated Marvel-Sony collaboration is set to resume shortly.
