Timothée Chalamet jokes about fame after winning ‘White Boy of the Year’

Timothée Chalamet has officially added a new and unexpected title to his growing list of accolades: White Boy of the Year. The two-time Oscar nominee was honoured at the First Annual Believe That Awards, a parody-style show.

Chalamet beat out fellow nominees Adam Sandler, Tom Cruise, MrBeast, and Pat McAfee for the tongue-in-cheek award. Currently filming Dune: Part Three in Budapest, the actor accepted the award via video message, joking about fame, self-perception, and his ongoing pursuit of greatness.

In an Instagram story, Chalamet quoted rapper Gucci Mane, writing, “You can get lost in the sauce, but without sauce, you are lost.” He added, “I promise to cherish this award, and to do good inspiring generations of white boys to come to be entirely delusional about their identity and place within the world.”

Fans applauded Chalamet’s humour and humility, praising how he handled the joke award with his signature self-awareness.
