Victoria Beckham has addressed criticism aimed at her children being labelled as “nepo babies,” saying it is unfair to judge them based on their parents’ fame.
Speaking to The Sun, the designer and former Spice Girl discussed her son Cruz’s ambitions in music and expressed pride in his efforts. “I mean, I feel sorry for these kids that are considered nepo babies,” she said. “The kids are simply the kids of their parents. It’s not their fault. Give them a chance.”
Victoria and her husband David Beckham share four children – Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14. She added that kindness and authenticity are more important than public perception. “What matters is that people are good and kind. It’s fine to be ambitious, but it is more important to be kind. Let the music speak for itself before you judge,” she said.
